Harold Williamson Jr., MD, MSPH is Professor and Chair, Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Missouri-Columbia. He has previously served in such roles as Medical Director, University of Missouri Area Health Education Center (MU-AHEC) and Residency Program Director for the Department of Family Medicine. National service has included: Chair, Health Resources and Services Administration, US Department of Health and Human Services Peer Review Group for Graduate Training/Family Medicine Grants (1998); Chair, Task Force, Development of Family Medicine Chairs, Association of Departments of Family Medicine (1999-2001); and Board member, Association of Departments of Family Medicine (2004-present). State and Regional service has included: Board of Directors, Missouri Academy of Family Physicians (1986-1990, 1995-1997). Presently Dr. Williamson serves on the University Physicians Executive Committee, Columbia Regional Hospital Board of Directors and the University of Missouri Healthcare Executive Advisory Committee. He received his M.D from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH. His residency was at the University of Minnesota, Family Medicine, Minneapolis, MN, and he was a Robert Wood Johnson Academic Family Medicine Fellow and earned an MSPH at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Williamson won the Curriculum Board Teaching Excellence Award for Outstanding Instructor - Clinical Curriculum, in 2004.
